Head of Project Management

We have an exciting opportunity for a results oriented, seasoned portfolio and program management specialist. This role works collaboratively with the business to ensure programs and projects are delivered within scope and appropriate governance.

Reporting to the Operations Director you will be directly accountable for the accuracy, validity and integrity of the advice provided and the quality of work performed, often in connection with technical, specialised and challenging issues. You will be an experienced Project Manager looking to contribute your knowledge and expertise to the small team in our PMO.

Can you?

  • Lead, plan and coordinate a multi-disciplined project management team that delivers cost effective and customer focussed outcomes for Darwin Airport.
  • Ensure that the project’s related risks business, security and HSE are managed in line with the agreed Project Risk Framework.
  • Develop project-related governance, stakeholder liaison and reporting frameworks to meet project objectives and regulatory requirements.

Do you have?

  • Tertiary qualifications in a Project Management Discipline; or demonstrated experience in a similar area.
  • Possesses up-to-date knowledge and experience of engineering principles, procedures, standards, specifications, codes, work processes, job execution and engineering tools.
  • Proven experience managing a small projects team, preferably in an airport environment.
  • Excellent oral, written and IT communication skills.
  • Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card and pass an Australian Federal Police Check.

A generous salary package will be negotiated commensurate with experience and relocation assistance will be provided.
